THE RIGHT RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD AND MAN

Life is all about building and enjoying GREAT RELATIONSHIPS.

How then can we build this excellent relationship with God and our fellow men?

Building excellent relationships is a habit, and it produces wonderful rewards.

Some people enter our lives and leave almost instantly, others stay, and forge such an impression on our heart and soul, and we are changed forever.

If building excellent relationship is a habit, how do we form this habit?

Habit is defined as:

“Involuntary pattern of behavior acquired by frequent repetitions; manner of conducting oneself”

Thoughts: watch your thoughts they become words, watch your wards, they become habits, watch your habits, they become your character, watch your character, it becomes your destiny. So we can say!

Our thoughts become, words and our words become our actions and our actions become our habits.

It is said you can form a habit by repeating an action for 21 days.

Here therefore is a daily action system to help us in building the excellent relationships we are talking about.

B-ALERT

B           Blueprint: My strategic plan for the day.

A          Action: Concentrate on the most important activities that will move you towards accomplishing your plan. (Blue print)

L           Learning: expand your knowledge, through reading, listening to cd, cassettes, video, mentors, and courses.

E           Exercise: re-energize yourself thirty minutes a day with exercise.

R           Relaxation: eliminate daily stress. Nap, meditate, and listen to music, family time.

T           Think: take time to reflect on the day, review, goals, visualize, and develop new ideas… Use a Journal.

Blue print:

“Every well-built house started with a definite plan in the form of Blueprint”

A blue print is simply a map for the day.  It helps you prioritize the important task on your agenda.  To illustrate this, imagine a tall, beautiful in a major city (empire State Building in New York)…….

Your Blueprint should include a special time for God.

You can not build a relationship with anyone without putting time into it.

What happens to a relationship if you do not put time into it?  Do not spend time with your wife and children and see what will happen.

A well-planned Blueprint allows you to take charge of the day.

If you plan and allocate time to God and your family, you would experience a tremendous blessing and an awesome excellent relationship on a whole new level.

Action:

“The one thing that separates winners from losers is, winners take Action.

Please notice, there is a major difference between being busy and taking specific well planned action.

Taking Decisive Action

“For things to change you’ve got to change otherwise, nothing much will change’’

Abraham Lincoln, the sixteenth President of the United States, once said “Things may come to those who wait, but only the things left by those who hustle”.

What we think or what we know or what we believe is, in the end, or little consequence.  The only consequence is what we do.

There’s an enduring axiom of success that says “The universe rewards action”.

So after you have analyzed and organized your thoughts as in your blueprint, what you really need to do is to take action, who wants this $20.00 bill? (……..) What did this person do that no one else in this room did? He or she took the action, when you take action; you trigger all kinds of things that will inevitably carry you to success.  You let those around you know that you are serious in your intention.  People with similar goals become aligned with you.  You begin to get feed back about how to do things better, more efficiently, and more quickly.

You begin to attract others who will support and encourage you. All manner of good things begin to flow in your direction once you begin to take action.

TAKE A DONKEY ACTION

One day a farmer’s donkey fell down into a well.  The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.  Finally he decided the animal was old and the well needed to be covered anyway; it just wasn’t worth it to retrieve the donkey.  He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him.  They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well.

At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone’s amazement, he quieted down.  A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well and was astonished at what he saw.  With every shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing.  He would shake it off and take a step up.  As the farmer’s neighbors continued to shovel the dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up.  Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and trotted off!

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt.  The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up.  Each of our troubles is a stepping stone.  We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up!

Remember the five simple rules to be happy.

1.     Free your heart from hatred

2.     Free your mind from worries

3.     Live simply

4.     Give more

5.     Expect less.

ROZA PARK’S ACTION:

When Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a bus in Montgomery, Ala., her action sparked the modern civil rights movement.

TALK IS CHEAP!

To b e successful you have to do what successful people do, and successful people are highly action-orientated.  “Nothing happens until you take action”. So be successful in your relationships and in life.

Learning:

There are essentially two things that will make you wiser, the books you read and the people you meet.

Develop the “habit” of reading at least twenty to thirty minutes a day at night before you go to bed or in the morning.

What should you read?

Start with your Sabbath school lesson and your Bible, E.G White books.

Biographic and autobiographies of successful people. Build a library of your own and visit the library. Let your children see you read and read to them as well.

Personal development books, audio books and tapes. There is a wealth of ideas in these books waiting to be absorbed by anyone with a little curiosity and desire to do better to do better.

Jack’s story: I recently conducted a sales motivation seminar for a California-based optical lens manufacturing company. There were about 200 salespeople in attendance.   I asked members of the audience to raise their hands if they knew who the top two or three producers in the company were.  Almost every hand went up.  I then asked them to raise their hands if they had ever approached any of these two or three people to ask them what their secrets of success were.  Not one hand went up.  What a tragedy this is.  We all know the people who are successful, but we are afraid to approach them and ask them for information, direction and guidance. Don’t let the fear of rejection stop you from asking.  The worst thing that could happen is they wouldn’t tell you.  You’d end up not knowing what they know.  You already don’t know what they know, so it can’t get any worse, can it? So take the risk.  Ask!

As you can see, it’s important that you seek and learn from mentors.

Exercise:

“PROSPERITY IN LIFE IS DERIVED MORE FROM WHO YOU KNOW, NOT WHAT YOU KNOW” so develop a habit building excellent relationships and learning from the best.

HAVING ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD ISN’T MUCH GOOD IF YOU CAN HARDLY GET OUT OF BED IN THE MORNING TO ENJOY IT”

DO YOU WANT TO BE RICH IN HEALTH? Let’s face it, what’s the point of earning lot’s of money if you don’t have optimum health to enjoy it in your later years? Wouldn’t that be sad?

Creating an excellent balance in your life and your relationships means you don’t treat your health lightly.

Our bodies are the temple if God and if we are to have an excellent relationship with him, then we have to take very good care of our bodies.

Our goal on the daily blueprint is to be healthy and wealthy.  Developing a new habit of daily exercise will give you rewards that far outweigh the early discomfort.  Here is a list of eight specific benefits you will receive from a regular program.

Exercising improves your sleeping habits

Exercising increases your energy levels.

Exercising relieves stress and anxiety.

Exercising protects you against injury.

Exercising promotes a health posture.

Exercising enhances your self-image.

Exercising relieves digestive disorders.

Exercising expands your longevity.

With this multitude of benefits, why wouldn’t you want to exercise?

Relaxation:

“TO MAXIMIZE YOUR PROGRESS, TAKE REGULAR BREAKS TO RE-ENERGIZE”

At the beginning of the year, decide when you want to take major breaks and reserve these on your calendar.

The important thing is to develop the “Habit” of creating real time for total relaxation.

Here’s the point: I f you have worked long, hard hours all week, you deserve a break to re-energize.  This is difficult for many people to grasp. They mentally tear themselves apart with guilt.

For example, a father is taking his son to a swimming lesson on Sunday and he’s thinking, “I should be at work making money to finish that project back home”.  And when he’s on the job, on the weekend, he feels guilty about neglecting his son, because he promised to take him to the park or the soccer game.  This ongoing cycle of guilt increases stress levels and frustration.  When work wins the battle over enjoying fun-time with your family, relationships polarize; other long-term consequences include burnout, divorce and health problems.  To avoid any potential rifts/problems, schedule your family time every week.  Schedule three to seven day getaway, or two weeks vacations, whatever works best for you.

And if you’re not in a position to do this right now, make sure you have at least one day off per week, and set a goal (in your blueprint) to increase your time off next year.

When you return from a week off, well-rested and refreshed, you will be more creative, better focused and more productive.

So bothers and sisters, fathers and mothers, make time to enjoy regular time off to replenish your energy and lower your level of stress.  And please do it without guilt.  Life’s too shot to constantly worry about everything.  It really is okay to have some fun.

Think:

“IF YOU REALIZED HOW POWERFUL YOUR THOUGHTS ARE, YOU WOULD NEVER THINK A NEGATIVE THOUGHT”

BE YE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND. Romans 12-2

If you want to have unusual clarity about what is working and what is not working in your life, schedule time for reflective thinking.

William James, who was one of the wisest men America has produced once, said “The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings can liter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind” As you think, so shall you be.  So flush out all old, tired, worn-out thoughts.

Fill your mind with fresh, new creative thoughts of faith, love, and goodness.  By this process you can actually remake your life.

It has been said that the wisest man who ever lived in America was Ralph Waldo Emerson. He once declared,

“A man is what he thinks about all day long.”

It has been said that thoughts are things, that they actually possess dynamic power.  You can actually think yourself into or out of situations.

You can make yourself ill with your thoughts and by the same token you can make yourself well by the use of different and healing type of thoughts.

Think one way and you attract the conditions which that type of thinking indicates.  Think another way and you can create an entirely different set of conditions.

Conditions are created by thoughts far more powerful than conditions create
